PhototherapyLectures.com was founded with a single, uncompromising purpose: to make world-class phototherapy education accessible to every dermatologist on the planet — whether you practice in Detroit or Delhi, in São Paulo or Seoul. Phototherapy is one of the oldest, most evidence-based, and most cost-effective treatments in all of dermatology. Yet it remains one of the most under-taught. Residencies provide limited hands-on exposure. Textbooks cover the basics — but rarely address the nuance that separates adequate phototherapy from excellent phototherapy.
That gap has real clinical consequences. Patients with psoriasis, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, and CTCL deserve practitioners who understand not just which lamp to use — but why that lamp, at that dose, on that schedule, combined with that adjunctive therapy.
I am Dr. Iltefat Hamzavi. I have spent my career at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, running one of North America’s highest-volume phototherapy units. I have been Principal Investigator on landmark NB-UVB clinical trials. I have trained phototherapy fellows and collaborated with the finest photomedicine researchers on every continent.
